Walmart Strategies

Strategies determine how your listings will be repriced on the marketplace. You can choose to create a custom strategy which gives you access to all the settings we offer or get started fast with one of our pre-configured or algorithmic strategies. We will never go below or above your min/max price set parameters. Below are our strategy types offered for Walmart items.

Important: Compete with Featured Merchants strategy applies to the Amazon marketplace only.

Strategy Types

Get the Buy Box (Algorithmic): This algorithm will identify the Walmart Buy Box seller specifically as your direct competitor and reprice you under the Buy Box price to ensure you always have the lowest price.

Compete against the Lowest Price: Appeagle will pull in the lowest priced offer on the offer page as your direct competitor. You will have the option to set your own pricing rule of how you would like to be repriced by either dollar amount or percentage.

Custom Strategy: Start from scratch and build your own strategy. You'll have the option to compete directly against the Buy Box or against the lowest offer on the page along with access to our additional exclusion settings.

Strategy Settings

Competition Scenarios

These settings allow you to specify how to reprice in situations where your pricing rules would not apply.

When there is no competition:

Choose how to reprice when there are no competing offers on a listing. This means that we have not selected a competitor based on your strategy settings or there is no other seller listed for your item at this time. Your options are as follows:

  • Do Not Reprice: Your price will not be revised until the competition is recognized.
  • Use Min Price: Your min price will be used until the competition is recognized.
  • Use Max Price: Your max price will be used until the competition is recognized.

When competition is below your min price:

Choose how to reprice when your competition's price is below the minimum price you've set. Your options are as follows:

  • Do Not Reprice: Your price will not be revised until your competitor's price goes above your min.
  • Use Min Price:
Your min price will be used until your competitor's price goes above your min.
  • Use Max Price: Your max price will be used until your competitor's price goes above your min.
  • Ignore Competition: When your direct competitor is below your min price, you have the option to ignore this seller and be repriced against the next eligible seller based on your existing strategy settings.

When the competition matches your min price:

Choose how to reprice when your competition's price matches your min price. Your options are as follows:

  • Do Not Reprice: Your price will not be revised until your competition's price no longer matches your min price.
  • Use Min Price: Your min price will be used until your competition's price no longer matches your min price.
  • Use Max Price: Your max price will be used until your competition's price no longer matches your min price.
  • Ignore Competition: When your direct competitor matches your min price, you have the option to ignore this seller and be repriced against the next eligible seller based on your existing strategy settings.

Competition Type (Custom strategy only):

  • All - Selects the lowest overall offer as your direct competitor
  • Buy Box - Selects the current Buy Box winner as your direct competitor
Note: If you also have an Amazon marketplace we will display: Only FBA, Only MFN, FBA then MFN, and FBA then Buy Box as options as well. Only ALL and Buy Box apply for Walmart.

Don't Lower My Price

This setting gives you the option to choose whether or not you would like your price to continue to be lowered once your offer wins the Buy Box.

The Don't Lower my Price option overrides any settings that call for your min price to be used once you display Buy Box ownership in your account. The "Use Max Price" setting will continue to be followed. This option is ALWAYS used when Get the Buy Box is enabled.

Important:

If you have both an Amazon AND Walmart marketplace added in Appeagle, the following settings will apply for your  Amazon marketplace only:

  • Compete Differently Against FBA
  • Compete Differently Against Amazon
  • Exclude/Include Seller
  • Seller Rating
  • Exclude competition with handling time
  • Exclude back ordered sellers
  • Exclude Amazon as a Seller
  • Featured Sellers Only
